Gangotri National Park was established in 1989, the park covers an area of 1,553 square kilometers and rises to an altitude of 7,083 meters.

Home to several endangered species like bharal or blue sheep, black  bear, brown bear, Himalayan Monal, Himalayan snowcock, Himalayan thar,  musk deer and snow leopard.

Gangotri is easily accessible via Jolly Grant airport,. From the airport, you can conveniently travel by road to reach Gangotri. The nearest railway station is located at Rishikesh, about 249 km away.

Best Time to Visit To best enjoy the immaculate natural beauty of the Gangotri National Park is from April to October.
